Case summaries

One of ASEAN’s Dialogue Partners commissioned the ATC to conduct a market study on trade barriers that could affect the entry and adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies in the advanced manufacturing sectors of select high-growth ASEAN economies. The report identified regulatory pain points as well as areas for cooperation to improve market access for companies from that ASEAN’s Dialogue Partner.

ATC was approached by the foreign ministry of a G7 economy to produce an in-depth assessment of China’s evolving role in global supply chains in the raw materials and high-technology sectors, the trade implications of its RCEP membership, and trade linkages with key Asia-Pacific markets. The publication provided a high-level briefing to the host country’s members of parliament.

ATC produced a comprehensive analysis of South Korea’s CPTPP accession aspirations for an OECD member country. Our consultants looked at different dynamics (e.g. agriculture, geopolitical tensions, elections) influencing Korea’s accession prospects, likely admission challenges, as well as performed economic simulations to determine market access benefits for the OECD member.

An intergovernmental organization attached to the United Nations commissioned the ATC to assess the impact of the ASEAN Economic Community on intra-ASEAN trade and investment flow to identify policy lessons and best practices, particularly in the area of e-commerce, digital trade, and people-to-people mobility, to further promote greater Latin American economic integration.
