Tackling climate change and sustainability have become important trade issues. International trade flows and trade policies can help or hinder efforts to address climate challenges. Yet, trade and investment policies focusing on only economic benefits may overlook the impact that international trade and investments could have on climate change.

This new series on trade and climate from the Asian Trade Centre looks at what sort of adjustments might be required from the trade regime to grapple with climate change more effectively. Efforts could be made at the multilateral, regional, bilateral, and even unilateral levels.
